James O. “Jim” White, Jr., CPA

Jim is a 1973 graduate of the University of Houston with a BBA in Accounting and is certified by the State of Texas Board of Public Accountancy. He has thirty-two years experience in taxation, accounting, auditing, business consulting and litigation support and twenty-two years experience in investment and financial planning.

Jim is the President and founder of J. White & Company, a public accounting firm established in 1985. J. White & Company is the predecessor of White Garrison & Hill, P.C.

Brenda Garrison White, CPA

Brenda graduated from Texas A&M in 1986 with a BBA in Accounting and is certified by the State of Texas Board of Public Accountancy. Upon graduation, she worked in the Audit Division of Arthur Anderson in the Houston area. From 1989-1998, she worked with a Galleria firm becoming a shareholder in charge of conducting audits, tax planning, business consultations, mergers and acquisitions and business valuations. Brenda became a shareholder with White Garrison & Hill in 1998 and serves as managing shareholder in addition to her duties as shareholder in charge of auditing and additional work in business valuations, tax planning, business consulting and litigation support.

Brenda has served on boards of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Houston Chapter of the TSCPAs and served as Vice President and as a Chairperson of the Audit Committee. She is an active member in the:

William E. “Ed” Hill, III, CPA

Ed is a 1969 graduate of Tulane University with a BA in Psychology and a 1973 graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree. He worked primarily in the Land Title industry before entering public accounting in 1987. Ed merged his accounting practice with White Garrison & Hill in December 1989 and is the shareholder in charge of the firm’s title company audit clientele.
